Overview

It is increasingly recognised that brownfield sites often have incredible biodiversity. John Little’s work on low-fertility substrates is now well-known. Today we ask – “How can we learn from these accidental biodiversity hotspots to influence all future landscapes? John enlists the help of his entomologist friend Andy Philips to come and look at the 4 acres of trial gardens at John’s home we explore how new gardens and landscapes can and should become our new nature reserves. The day will also include a trip to the Wildlife trust visitors centre (1 mile away) to look at potential biodiversity in the new car park and community garden.
