Steve Castorani on Gravel Gardens

Growing perennials in deep gravel mulches and low-substrate cultivation are very trendy now, but why not speak to someone who has been doing this for pretty much longer than anyone else? Since the 1990s in fact, with a trial running since 2016.

Steve, of the leading mid-Atlantic region perennial producer North Creek, has more experience than anyone, so its great to have him share his experience with us. He even had to dust off some old-fashioned slides to show us some earlier work! He’ll also share with us some recent gardens constructed using what he and his colleagues have learnt.
