Tom Stuart-Smith

After working with Hal Moggridge and Elizabeth Banks, Tom established his own landscape design business in 1998, going on to design a number of notable large private gardens in the English countryside as well as projects throughout mainland Europe, India, the EUA/USA and the Caribbean. His most notable work includes Broughton Grange, Mount St John in Yorkshire and a new garden at Windsor Castle commissioned to mark the Queen’s Golden Jubilee. He has also worked with Piet Oudolf in creating a landscape masterplan at Trentham Gardens and the replanting of the Italian garden there. His psychologist wife Sue is known for her book, The Well-Gardened Mind, on mental health and gardens.
