Bettina Jaugstetter

Bettina Jaugstetter is a German horticulturist and landscape architect whose initial training was as a gardener in a botanical garden. She has worked on both private gardens and public spaces, but over the years has tended to increasingly focus on planting design for public projects, from parks, to traffic islands, with a real focus on plant longevity and resilience. She was the lead designer for the 2023 Federal Garden Show at Mannheim, with both a virtuoso planting of seasonal bedding and a demonstration of perennials in demolition waste. She also does some teaching at Geissenheim University.
