Prof. Jane Memmott

Garden Chat Archive

Prof. Jane Memmott OBE of Bristol University, is one of the leading British experts on wild bees. She is one of those people who can tell you what the vital, but increasingly threatened animals, really need. She and her research students are the people who can tell you how many microlitres of nectar a flower may have or how many snowdrops equal one hellebore. Noel interviews her in her study with a brief foray into the family garden near Bristol, discussing her career, research and what the garden and landscape professions can do for bees.
