Julie Witmer, garden designer and coach
Garden Chat ArchiveJulie Witmer describes herself as a horticulturalist, garden designer, garden therapist and self-proclaimed ‘Dixterphile’. Annie talks to Julie about her work in Western PA, about how she changed from a teaching career into gardening, having never really had a background in horticulture. Her style of working with clients is not unique but is certainly unusual and her ’slow gardening’ approach is extremely appealing. She talks about how people approach her having no idea at all what they want in their gardens and then how to care for it. Julie works with people all over the US from Nashville to the West Coast.
