Why are so many good (outside) gardeners so hopeless with houseplants? One of many questions we consider with Jane Perrone. Jane has just written a book on them – Legends of the Leaf, and while there is plenty of the usual ‘keep good indirect light’ kind of advice it is primarily a highly readable collection of stories, information and trivia about 25 plants. Noel and Christine talk to her about the book and about indoor plants more generally in a wide-ranging discussion.
