California natives sprout at Potrero Hill Eco-patch

Garden Chat Archive

Alex Harker is a landscape architect who has helped create the Potrero Hill Eco-patch, an experimental area of community planting in suburban San Francisco which uses the mixed planting style developed by practitioners in Europe but using entirely California natives. The project aims at contributing to corridors of native plants and biodiversity across the city. A fascinating overview of a range of locally-inspired plant communities.
