Overview
This course is aimed at an intermediate level audience and assumes some knowledge of working with SketchUp. It will follow on from the “Getting started in SketchUp” course.
- This is not designed as a “model-along” course
- It will suit PC or Mac users
- It will use SketchUp pro (2025) and is not suitable for Web/ iPad versions of the software.
The objective is to take you from having some working knowledge of SketchUp and to refine your skills, explore more advanced techniques and use a workflow that allows you to approach modelling in a more efficient way. The course will start with a review of first principles to help attendees improve their workflow and perhaps undo acquired habits.
Please note, following the sad death of Paul Hensey, the tutor, we have taken on two new tutors, Prof. Daniel Zambrano and Hernan de Armas. Daniel is an architect and educator, Hernan an experienced visualiser who works with The Planting Studio. More biographical information can be found on our tutor pages.
The program will approximately follow the schedule below.
